Shrink Oven

Shrink oven is used for shrinking the film at high temperatures around
products or pallets. The film is wrapped around the product and passed over
the conveyor to the oven where it is shrunk. The conveyor then leads it to
the cooling unit.
Types
- Gas Powered Electric Shrink Oven
The gas-powered ovens are preferred for wrapping pallet loads. Gas
powered pallet shrink oven is suited for the shrink wrapping of
palletized loads. The oven hood and ventilation system greatly
reduces energy consumption and reduces the escape of combustible
gases. Aspirator is installed at the base of the oven to increase
the anchoring of the film at the bottom and avoid film distortion.
Burners are mounted on the inside walls of the shrink hood.

- Infrared Heated Shrink Oven
New generation shrink-wrap ovens are using infrared emitters as the
heat source. This is considered to be the most secure wrapping. The
shrink cycle is automated. The installation and maintenance is
easier and it can be integrated with the existing conveyor system.
They are more suited for in-line operations. It consists of a shrink
wrap oven, a scissors lift and a compression platen.
