Paper stack slides on to a wrapping sheet. The paper stack wrapping machine then folds the sheet into the required size and heat-seals or glues the ends of the wrapping material.
The process is also called folio wrapping. The wrapper is made from paper but has been coated with a film of polyethylene. This provides a moisture barrier and maintains the moisture content of the paper at the required level. This helps protect the paper from transport and storage damage.
